Originating in the Charles Addams cartoons for The New Yorker magazine in the 1930’s Morticia is the wife of Gomez Addams and mother of Pubert, Pugsley and Wednesday.
Adapted in 1964, the ABC-TV network created a television series shot in black and white and based on Addam’s original cartoon characters. Morticia Addams was played by Carolyn Jones and The Addams Family ran for 64 episodes over two seasons
